Zoom has the ability to stream directly to BoxCast through its Custom RTMP. One key thing to remember is you will need to have a paid Zoom account to do this.
Below is a video and step by step guide to walk you through streaming your Zoom meeting to BoxCast. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at questions@BoxCast.com.
Step 1
Log into your Zoom account and go to the settings area. Next click on "In Meeting (Advanced)" to find the live streaming section.
Step 2
Scroll down a little bit and enable "Allow live streaming meetings" and click on "Custom Live Streaming Service."
Step 3
You will now need to get your Server URL and Stream Key from the BoxCast Dashboard. Go to this link to find that. If you do not have your Server URL and Stream Key set up, create one by clicking "Add Source" and selecting Zoom.
Step 4
Once you add that source, you will now see your Server URL and Stream Key under a source called "Zoom."
Step 5
Take your Server URL and Stream Key and add it to the "Custom Live Streaming Service" like you see below.
Example of how it should look -
Server URL: rtmp://rtmp.boxcast.com/live
Stream Key: b4fg7vqybpzbixm5vinv
Step 6
Now that your RTMP is set up, schedule a meeting in Zoom. We recommend scheduling the meeting to start 10 minutes before your scheduled broadcast just to make sure you can get in and beginning streaming before the start time.
Step 7
You will also want to schedule a broadcast in the BoxCast Dashboard and select your source as Zoom.
Step 8
Once you start the meeting in Zoom, get everything looking the way you want and when you are ready to start streaming, click on the "More" option on the Zoom toolbar.
Step 9
Click on "Live on Custom Live Streaming Service."
Step 10
You will get redirected to this page where you want to copy your Server URL and Stream key into the Streaming URL and Streaming Key.
You will also be asked to input a Live streaming page URL. This is simply the page on your site where you have the video player embedded. Or it could be your BoxCast.tv link (as we do below). Or you could redirect folks to your Facebook page if that is where you intend the video to be viewed. Whatever the site is that you intend for folks to view this stream on, that's the URL that you will input in this section.
5-10 minutes before the scheduled time you selected in the BoxCast Dashboard, click on Go Live! Your stream will begin preparing and you will be live within the next 1-2 minutes.
Step 11
To check if it's working, you will want to make sure your Zoom meeting says it's live in the top left corner and that you have a green "connected" dot in the BoxCast Dashboard.
Step 12
Once your scheduled broadcast begins it will start streaming the Zoom meeting!

A: Yes! We really like the Shure MV 88+. If you get that plus a micro USB cable, It should just hook right up to your computer with no problems.
