BoxCast gives you the ability to add a Manual Scoreboard or use our Wireless Scoreboard Adapter to keep score of your sporting event. In this article, we will show you how to add a scoreboard to your broadcast. If you do not see the scoreboard option in your dashboard, please contact your client manager or email CM@BoxCast.com and they will be happy to assist you in getting that feature.
How to set up your Manual Scoreboard
1. Start by clicking on schedule a broadcast and filling out the information for that broadcast.
2. When you get to the Overlays option, click on Manual Scoring.
3. Select your sport from the list, pick your home and away team names/colors, and pick if you want the scoreboard overlay on the top part of the broadcast or bottom.
4. Controls for the Manual Scoreboard can be found on the video page for that specific event in your Dashboard or inside of your broadcaster app under the event.

Your manual scoreboard is now all set! If you would like us to create a special user name for a volunteer or student to control the scoreboard during the game, reach out to questions@BoxCast.com and we would be happy to create them a login.
How to set up your Automated Scoreboard and Wireless Scoreboard Adapter
Our Wireless Scoreboard Adapter (WSA) only supports the following scoreboard controllers:
Daktronics 5000 series
Trans Lux Fair Play MP70 or 72
OES 9000
If you do not have one of these scoreboard controllers, this product will not work for you. Follow the instructions below to set up your WSA.
BoxCast has created a product called the Wireless Scoreboard adapter. It allows you to plug directly into the back of your scoreboard controller and wirelessly send data to our BoxCast devices via USB. It makes it so you do not need someone to operate the scoreboard in the dashboard. If you have additional questions about this product, please watch this video or contact the support team at questions@BoxCast.com.
1. Start by clicking on schedule a broadcast and filling out the information for that broadcast.
2. When you get to the Overlays option, click on Automatic Scoring.
3. Select the sport you will be broadcasting pick the BoxCast Scoreboard Adapter as the scoreboard connection. *Note: The sport you choose for an event MUST match the sport being sent from your scoreboard controller or data will NOT come through in a usable format for your stream.
4. Select the scoreboard model you have and the scoreboard model.
5. Pick your home and away team names/colors, and pick if you want the scoreboard overlay on the top part of the broadcast or bottom.
Once your broadcast goes live, the WSA will automatically start sending data to your BoxCaster.

How to Set a Default Scoreboard
If you plan on always having the same home team, you can set a default scoreboard by clicking on settings, preferences and then edit under the scoreboard section.
Once you click edit, you can then enter in your information for your scoreboard and while scheduling, it will always default to those settings.
